What is a subprocessor?

A subprocessor is a third-party contractor engaged by eloomi, including entities from within the eloomi company, who has or potentially will have access to or process personal data. eloomi engages different types of sub-processors to perform various customer dependent functions as described in the tables below.

Process to engage new subprocessors

For all Customers who have entered into an agreement with eloomi, eloomi will provide notice via this communication-page of updates to the list of sub-processors that are utilized or which eloomi can utilize to deliver its services to customers. eloomi undertakes to keep the list updated and thereby informing Customers of the scope of sub-processing being used.

Pursuant to the Data Processing Agreement (DPA), a Customer may object in writing to the processing of its personal data by a new sub-processor within thirty (10) days following the update of the list and such objection shall describe Customer’s legitimate reason(s) for objection. If Customer does not object during the time period, the new subprocessor(s) shall be deemed accepted.

Objection handling

If a Customer objects to the use of a new
subprocessor under the process provided
under the DPA, eloomi shall have the right to
resolve the objection through one of the following options (to be selected at eloomi’s sole discretion):

  1. eloomi will cease to use the new subprocessor to process your personal data.
  2. eloomi will take the corrective steps requested by Customer in its objection and proceed to use the subprocessor to process your personal data.
  3. eloomi may cease to provide or Customer may agree not to use (temporarily or permanently) the aspect of an eloomi service that would involve use of the subprocessor to process your personal data.

The following subcontractors provide products and services to eloomi and may process, store, or otherwise access customer data or personal data in the course of carrying out their tasks.

Microsoft

Service provided:
Cloud hosting/infrastructure

Purpose and Processing Activities:
Microsoft Azure Services Ireland (Azure) delivers services that are part of the Service offering. Azure serves as the primary hosting platform for the eloomi application, database and other platform components. Azure is used for data backups, including of personal data, from the Service.

TwentyThree

Service provided:
Video streaming

TwentyThree provides hosting, embedding and streaming of videos, by uploading videos in eloomi’s course builder. It is exclusively the material hosted by TwentyThree, as well as information about which IP addresses that access and play videos.

Merge API Inc.

Merge is used as an unified APIs that authenticate, normalize, and sync data across API providers and eloomi.

Sentry

Service provided:
Application monitoring, error tracking and logging

Purpose and Processing Activities:
Functional Software Inc. (Sentry) is a debugging and support tool used by eloomi to collect automated error reporting for users logged in to the platform. This allows us to capture more details about user-facing issue and to resolve such issues more expediently. To serve this purpose, Sentry compiles and stores detailed error information.

Intercom

Service provided:
Onboarding, support & live-chat tool

Purpose and Processing Activities:
Intercom is an onboarding software used to create product introductions and communicate with eloomi’s onboarding and product adoption team. Intercom processes personal data of logged-in users including name, email address and product usage.

Loggly

SolarWinds® Loggly® deliver cloud-based log management system designed to manage and monitor our application logs. Loggly allows eloomi to centralize error logging and streamline monitoring of our log data across devices and servers.Log data is stored for 30 days, after which it is deleted.purposes.

Mailgun

Service provided:
Email sending/delivery

Mailgun by Sinch send transactional emails from the eloomi application, that’s triggered by a specific action from the eloomi web- or mobile application, e.g. welcome emails, and any other confirmation emails that are sent via automation. These automated emails are sent programmatically through an SMTP server.

Zendesk
